Angelica Sinensis: Dong Quai or as it’s referred to commonly as “female ginseng” is an herb native to China with historical use. This is used to help reduce the risk for infertility, PMS symptoms, and menstrual cramps.

Intake of it can lead to an increased sensitivity to the sun and chemicals it is potentially carcinogenic according to Web MD.

Yohimbe: Extracted from a tree in Africa, this is used to help improve sexual function and is often added to sexual health supplements. Even small amounts can have an effect on blood pressure, and high amounts can result in symptoms:

  • Increased heart rate, cold sweats, and insomnia.
  • Cardiovascular issues, nausea, and difficulty relaxing.

There have also been cases of paralysis, stroke, and even death. This is why the dosage strength of this should be regulated; there is a risk for serious side effects if not taken cautiously.

When supplemented near sleep time it can lead to insomnia and related sleep related issues.

Cnidium Extract: An herb used mostly in male enhancement pills to promote erections; it is also used to prevent infertility. Information of its safety is lacking.

Wide arrays of ingredients are used to support female libido, and while it does have some potentially helpful additives, a lot of this formula has the potential for side effects. Xanthoparmelia Scabrosa and Yohimbe for example can lead to very dangerous side effects if they are used even in standard amounts.

There is no reason why additives like this should be used, Web MD in particular has said that Xanthoparmelia Scabrosa can kill healthy cells, this can be very dangerous and it can cause great harm.

It is good that they also add horny goat weed, amino acids like L-Tyrosine, muira puama, tribulis terrestris and wild yam, but this can also be found in many other similar brands without the unwanted additives.

The best supplements for the improvement of female libido are highlighted in the top 10 list listed here.

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this supplement with a proven female libido enhancer such as Libitrinex for better results.

The official website offers direct sales with a 60 capsule bottle sold for $49.99.

They say each bottle has a month long supply, but it’s unclear if this means only 2 capsules a day are intended. The lack of explanation and full supplements facts listing makes it impossible to know for certain if the quality is any good.

Using certain ingredients in this blend can be hazardous and may result in harsh side effects. It’s difficult to justify supplementation when this relies on additives like Yohimbe.

There is also no money back return policy so customers may end up losing out on money if this does not work as directed.

M.D. Science Lab, LLC owns this supplement and their contact information are not listed on their official website. They instead offer a contact form where you have to input your full address, phone number, email, and full name.

After researching online it was revealed that they are based out of:

Address: 2131 Blount Road

Pompano Beach, FL 33069

The FDA sent a warning letter in 2024 over concerns that they violated their CGMP practices. This included the following violations:

  • No written procedures for quality control.
  • No documentation of the quality control review.
  • No written accounts of the labeling and packaging process.
  • No management of the supplements proper identification.

A total of 9 violations were revealed, and worse yet, the FDA said that this may not be a full account of all the issues the company had. They required a quick turnaround to ensure that they corrected all these issues. It is not known if they made sure to make all the necessary changes outlined.

Most of the changes had to do with a lack of accountability which made it impossible to know if they were following safety guidelines.

The official website does not mention whether or not they have a money back return policy, which means they likely do not offer returns. In fact the company website offers no terms and conditions and they keep information of how they function to a minimal.

Our review experts have determined what supplements were best for female libido enhancement.

Here are some direct user experiences:

“I broke out in a really bad rash all over my body, red bumps all over and it lasted a few days”

“Not really sure if it had an effect towards sexual enhancement. Don’t think it’s any better than other brands, mild at best”

“Waste of time and money do not buy it”

“Yeah I wouldn’t try this ever again it’s just not worth it at all. Not what I was hoping for”

Reoccurring issues included a lack of noticeable benefits and some even had side effects which caused an allergic effect.

The majority of reviews were also negative; very few positive experiences were expressed. Mostly people felt it was a waste of money and that they would not purchase this again. It’s difficult to explain why this was a reoccurring issue, since they do add a lot of ingredients which can be beneficial towards female libido. The only probable explanation is that they do not add the key ingredients in a sufficient enough amount.

The top 10 recommended female libido enhancing supplements are outlined in detail within this link.

There are a lot of ingredients in Max Desire which can be beneficial at increasing libido naturally. The issue is that they add potentially harmful additives including Yohimbe, and Xanthoparmelia Scabrosa, both of which can be dangerous even in small amounts. There’s a reason why so many health websites have said that these ingredients are better avoided so as to not cause significant issues. The company does not offer a money back return policy, nor have they offered an explanation as to why they violated so many FDA protocols. There’s simply too much lacking to consider this an effective brand for female libido.

We favored Libitrinex over other female libido supplements due to its rich blend, high dosage strength ingredients, and the sheer amount of positive reviews. Consumers said they noticed significant improvements in libido, mood, energy, and overall wellness. There were also many who said they had a significant boost in sex drive and that it enhanced overall pleasure in the bedroom.

The formula relies on 3rd party studied ingredients which can work with the body to help boost overall wellness. There’s also a great explanation offered by the company as to how it works, and they even provide testimonials. To find out more about Libitrinex and to see our full review, click on this link.
