Nova Derm Eye Cream Ingredients and Side Effects

The Nova Derm Eye Cream website dives straight into talking about the high price of anti-aging injections, the thin skin beneath the eye, and how the under-eye area is the first place the skin really starts to show its age. The way the web copy is written feels as though the author tried to detract readers from asking questions about the active elements included in the formula.

There’s a whole section on the page dedicated to talking about the importance of collagen, and how the aging process breaks down this essential protein. Rather than explain the which ingredients were used here, the makers of Nova Derm Eye Cream gloss over the specifics—mentioning the product contains vitamins A and C, plus peptides. We never see an actual ingredients label anywhere on the website.

Peptides Vitamin A
Vitamin C

Peptides: Peptides are amino acid chains that combine to make proteins like collagen and elastin, which are responsible for keeping the skin firm, supple, and most of all—youthful. This ingredient works to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, as well as dark circles.

Vitamin A: We’re not entirely sure which form of vitamin A is used in this product—whether its retinal, retinyl palmitate, or retinol—but all work to stimulate cell production and new growth—penetrating deeper into the skin to keep it firm and healthy.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C is an antioxidant that plays a major role in collagen synthesis and maintenance. It also works to protect the skin from free radical damage.

Nova Derm Eye Cream Quality of Ingredients

It’s quite difficult to evaluate the quality of a product when the makers of the product in question have failed to provide a reasonable amount of information for potential consumers to review.

For example, the description on the website claims that this product can do so much to replenish the collagen supply in the skin—yet, it doesn’t provide any scientific evidence backing these claims.

Nor is there a list of ingredients available to us that would allow us (or consumers) to do their own research.

If the website is to be believed, then this product might contain some useful elements. For example, vitamins A and C are both useful for sloughing off dead cells and making way for new growth—brightening the skin and smoothing out fine lines.

The website doesn’t say whether this product contains retinyl palmitate (an ester of vitamin A) or retinol the pure form of the vitamin. While both have similar benefits—retinyl palmitate isn’t as potent and may actually exacerbate the growth of tumors on the skin.

Without the label, we don’t know how many filler ingredients are present in the formula. We also don’t know whether the product contains things like parabens, petroleum products, or other elements that might not be desirable for a significant portion of consumers.

In all there’s just not a whole lot here that suggests the product is worth trying over something with a larger fan base, proven formulas, or basically any transparency at all on the part of the manufacturer.

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this product with a proven eye cream such as Kremovage for better results.

The Price and Quality of Nova Derm Eye Cream

Nova Derm Eye Cream isn’t sold in too many locations. Shoppers must visit one of a handful of dedicated Nova Derm websites, and from there, sign up for their free trial program. The free trial offer does require that users pay for shipping—it’s about $5. The trial lasts for 14 days, and users must cancel before that two-week period comes to an end.

If shoppers do not cancel, then according to the fine print agreement on the site, responsible for paying for this product on a monthly basis. And it’s not exactly affordable—users have reported being charged $90 for a small jar.

Unfortunately, whether consumer intentionally sign up for the automatic payment program or they’re tricked into the monthly payments—$90 for an unproven solution is a lot of money. The only companies charging these prices are well-known, tested solutions—usually backed by dermatologists or made by renowned design houses.

Business of Nova Derm Eye Cream

Nova Derm Eye Cream is made by a company that has provided very few details about their values, location, and company philosophy. But, we were able to find some contact details on the Better Business Bureau’s website.

Address: PO Box 25380

Santa Ana, CA 92799

Phone: 877-467-8521

The company behind Nova Derm Eye Cream has received an F rating by the Better Business Bureau. Most complaints are in reference to the free trial offer—customers didn’t realize they were signing up for an ongoing arrangement when they signed up.

Nova Derm has responded to most of the complaints, but their response has been a canned statement that explains customers should have read the terms of service before signing up for the trial.

“This product was advertised as a “free bottle.” I was then charged for the free bottle and customer service wouldn’t refund the charges.”

“I ordered the sample and canceled with Discover after learning I’d be charged ongoing. Discover sent me 12 pages of information on these face cream scams.”

The thing is, the free trial stipulations aren’t made clear on any of the Nova Derm websites. Often times this information is provided after the fact—once shoppers have placed their order. These moves are legal—technically—the hidden agreement is easily missed by most people.

Yet, the loophole gives Nova Derm and others like them cause to charge people every month for the foreseeable future—without leaving themselves open to a class action lawsuit.

Beyond the clear issues at play with the poor customer service and confusing terms of service, Nova Derm does a poor job explaining how their eye cream works and for whatever reason, doesn’t give people a look at the label.

Based on the information we’ve gathered; this company doesn’t employ ethical business practices. Chances are getting involved with Nova Derm will prove to be an expensive endeavor.

Customer Opinions of Nova Derm Eye Cream

Nova Derm Eye Cream doesn’t have many reviews posted online. In most cases, mentions of this product were limited to billing and customer service issues.

Interestingly, this product, despite being made or distributed by a California company has the bulk of their reviews in Spanish on their Facebook page.

With all that in mind, we don’t really know if this product is an effective tool for treating wrinkles and fine lines, stimulating collagen production, or replacing cosmetic procedures.

We’d venture to guess that this product doesn’t quite live up to the claims put forth on the website.

Conclusion – Does Nova Derm Eye Cream Work?

Nova Derm Eye Cream does not have enough supportive evidence suggesting its use as an anti-aging tool—especially when considered in the context as other $90 eye creams made by reputable companies.

The company fails to make their purchasing terms clear up front—they don’t advertise the pricing—rather, they opt to keep it under wraps—revealing the true cost when users are already on the hook for their subscription.

Nova Derm Eye Cream might technically be legal, but there’s no denying that this product is part of a more massive scam. It doesn’t matter what it’s made out of—any company that doesn’t put consumer best interests as a priority isn’t worth doing business with. People have lost hundreds of dollars in exchange for a low-quality eye cream with no demonstrated results.

Kremovage is a cruelty-free eye cream designed to treat sagging skin, sun damage, crow’s feet, dark circles, and fine lines.
