Stellar Skin Eye Cream Ingredients and Side Effects

Stellar Skin Eye Cream primarily highlights hyaluronic acid and aloe vera on their Amazon product page. However, the formula does contain a handful of other items.

Here is a brief look at where Stellar Skin Eye Cream gets its key benefits:

Glycerin Squalane Hyaluronic Acid
Chamomile Extract Aloe Vera

Glycerin: Glycerin is used in a number of skincare products, but it’s mostly considered a filler item–is a natural moisturizer that keeps the skin hydrated, resulting in a refreshed appearance.

Squalane: Squalane is an oil that works to improve the skin’s moisture balance, reduce the severity of conditions like allergies, eczema, psoriasis, and more. Additionally, squalane can help to soothe dry or cracked skin and improve elasticity with use.

Chamomile Extract: Chamomile extract is used to help the skin heal from breakouts, fade hyperpigmentation, and protect the skin against free radical damage. Additionally, this ingredient has anti-inflammatory effect on the skin.

Aloe Vera: Aloe vera is most often used as a soothing salve for treating sunburns, wounds, and irritated skin. Aloe is rich a range of nutrients, including amino acids, minerals, and antioxidants—giving it an anti-aging effect with use. Additionally, aloe vera may tighten the skin, at least temporarily.

Hyaluronic Acid: Hyaluronic acid naturally found in the body, used to keep the skin, joints, and eyeballs moist and hydrated. As we get older, the amount of hyaluronic acid in our skin decreases, creating more pronounced wrinkles and imperfections. This ingredient helps the skin hang onto moisture, for suppler, hydrated skin.

Stellar Skin Eye Cream Quality of Ingredients

Stellar Skin Eye Cream comes with a refreshingly short ingredient list. But, it really isn’t a great formula. For all the paraben-free talk, advertising a cruelty-free approach, and so on, frankly, we expected at least a slightly cleaner formula.

This product, however, contains a solid lineup of chemical components—polyacrylamide (a potential environmental toxin), petrolatum and isoparaffin (petroleum byproducts), and fragrances.

In fact, the formula is made from more components we took issue with, than the good stuff designed to protect and restore your skin.

Ingredients like squalane and hyaluronic acid are really great hydrators. The former provides a lightweight skin softening effect and is a non-comedogenic oil—meaning it moisturizes without clogging pores.  HA on the other hand, hydrates on the spot and helps the skin keep moisture in place—preventing it from drying out.

The other positive elements include aloe and chamomile—two anti-inflammatory herbal ingredients that provide a range of benefits—wound healing, antioxidants, and more.

But, between moisturizing and providing some antioxidants, this product doesn’t really do anything else. Keeping skin hydrated can help skin look younger and healthier, but it doesn’t necessarily stimulate cell turnover.

The fact that this formula is missing a clear antiaging component means, it’s likely not worth trying. There’s a good chance that a high percentage of this product is made up of petroleum—meaning, there’s not enough good in here for us to tolerate the bad.

The Price and Quality of Stellar Skin Eye Cream

Stellar Skin Eye Cream appears to only be sold through Amazon. We tried to find an official website, but there doesn’t seem to be one. Just the Amazon page—with no real information about the company.

The online retail giant offers this product for $18.97, though the normal price is $34.95.

While Stellar Skin Eye Cream does have some good reviews, we simply can’ get behind this formula. Even at the current sale price, this product isn’t competing with the better drugstore brands—most of which don’t contain acrylamides or petroleum in such high amounts. And if they do, there’s likely more antiaging elements in the mix like peptides or retinol. In this case, you’re getting a basic lotion and paying more for it because it’s marketed as an eye cream.

Business of Stellar Skin Eye Cream

Because this product is sold exclusively on Amazon, there’s no official website for prospective shoppers to take a deeper look at Stellar Skin Eye Cream and the company that makes it.

We looked around on the web, and while there are many companies that use the name Stellar Skin—most are spas—there are aren’t any that sell this product or anything that looks similar.

Stellar Skin Eye Cream could be made by a smaller company with minimal resources—as evidenced by the Amazon page and nothing beyond that.

Stellar Skin does have a number of products in their line—there’s a vitamin C serum, face and neck creams, facial scrubs and more. Overall, the company’s wares don’t have many reviews, but those that are there, are generally pretty positive.

Customer Opinions of Stellar Skin Eye Cream

Stellar Skin Eye Cream is only available on Amazon, so the pool of reviewers is a bit limited—as there are virtually no mentions of this product anywhere else on the web.

Based on the information documented online, there is a chance that some of these reviewers were paid to share their experience with this product.

While, this could be entirely wrong, the formula suggests that this formula simply isn’t all that great—Stellar Skin has essentially made a petroleum-heavy moisturizer with a few herbal elements—certainly not something most people would willingly pay for.

Suspicions aside, here are some examples of the feedback we found online:

“This eye cream is super nice—it feels like a high-end eye cream from a department store. It’s very fragrant, which I don’t love, but in this case, I’m happy with the smell.”

“This cream works really well, it’s hydrating and seems to have made a difference in the appearance of my dark, under-eye bags.”

“I had to stop using this product because it made my eyes itch, burn, and water. I used it for only two days and couldn’t power through long enough to see any major results. Low quality stuff.”

“Warning! I started using this after reading positive reviews, but quickly developed a rash inside one of the deeper wrinkles around my eye. The rash ended up swelling, like I was having a reaction.”

Interestingly, many consumers posted that they experienced some irritation after giving this product a try. Based on the formula, we’re not surprised that this product caused some irritation—but we don’t know if the fragrance or any of the filler ingredients were the culprit.

It could be that this product truly wasn’t made for sensitive skin as advertised. Many of the reviewers did seem to like this product, but based on the formula, we’re not sold.

Conclusion – Does Stellar Skin Eye Cream Work?

Stellar Skin Eye Cream presents itself as a hydrating, soothing solution, but in reality, it contains a lot of additives that one might want to avoid. The formulation relies heavily on petroleum products to deliver the oily, soothing effect that can be effective for people with dry skin.

Stellar Skin Eye Cream contains few anti-aging elements, instead relying on cheaper, potentially harmful components to deliver the benefits advertised.

On top of our assessment of the formula alone, we couldn’t find any information about this company who makes this product. This could simply mean that Stellar Skin Eye Cream is made by a small company, or it could mean they are not a reputable brand. In any case, we don’t know enough about this product to speak for its quality.

Kremovage is our favorite eye cream for the reason that, it really does a lot with just one product. Soothing botanicals and potent anti-agers come together to strengthen, lift, and hydrate the skin.
