Replens Vaginal Moisturizer Ingredients and Side Effects
The makers of Replens Vaginal Moisturizer unfortunately do not disclose the formula on the package, on the website or on any of the third-party retailer websites.
While the web copy claims that this moisturizer has been clinically tested and is safe for consumers, this product is applied by using a plastic applicator to insert the gel into the vagina — meaning it is being absorbed by the body.
We know that this product contains glycerin, but aside from that, we don’t know what else makes it work.
We get that many consumers might not care whether this product is effective, but users with allergies may have concerns about trying a product they don’t know all that much about.
The makers of Replens Vaginal Moisturizer have been kind enough to let consumers know this product has not been connected to an increase in yeast infections—one of the questions included in the website’s FAQ section.

Replens Vaginal Moisturizer Quality of Ingredients
Replens Vaginal Moisturizer is just that, a moisturizer. Per the web copy, this product works to soothe vaginal tissue and provide long lasting moisture.
During menopause, many women experience vaginal dryness as a primary symptom — meaning, Replens Vaginal Moisturizer may be a good solution, but women experiencing other symptoms like hot flashes or night sweats may need something that addresses those specific needs, rather than simply adding moisture.
This product contains no estrogens or anything designed to improve sexual desire, but the website claims Replens Vaginal Moisturizer can be effective in replenishing the dry vaginal cells and restoring lost moisture.

The Price and Quality of Replens Vaginal Moisturizer
Replens Vaginal Moisturizer is not actually offered by the manufacturer, but the Replens website does feature a store finder that includes several major chain stores, both online and brick and mortar. Shoppers can find this item on Amazon, in stores like Walgreens, CVS, Target and Walmart.
Replens Vaginal Moisturizer is actually a good value, as we don’t know how long this lasts. The website doesn’t provide a clear dose amount. They just mention that this should be used once or twice a day.
This moisturizer generally about $20 for a box containing eight pre-filled applicators, which are to be used every three days. At this rate, a box won’t last a month, and the ingredients are premeasured, making this feel a bit pricey.
Replens Vaginal Moisturizer does have pretty good reviews, on average, so most users may not have a problem with the price point, but it does seem like the extra packaging, application materials and prepackaged servings may increase the cost — much like proportioned foods at the market.

The brand website for Replens is pretty informative. It looks like a typical corporate-designed site, giving some background on the various Replens products and features an FAQ page, blog and more for consumer who want to learn more.
In looking over the brand website, we found some good information about who might be experiencing vaginal dryness and how Replens might be able to help. Overall, it’s pretty good — there’s a list of retailers where people can buy this product online or in physical stores and they do reference a clinical study on 500 women who used Replens Vaginal Moisturizer, which is more than many competing products tend to do on their own webpages.
Unfortunately, this product does not come with a list of ingredients. It’s not listed on the Replens site, nor is it listed on the parent company’s website—despite Church and Dwight Company featuring a database where visitors can search for ingredient lists that correspond to their products.
The third-party retailers selling this product, like Amazon and CVS, among others, also fail to list the formula.
While we understand keeping some trade secrets under wraps, it doesn’t make sense that potential consumers don’t know what’s actually inside a product that goes in the vagina and is absorbed by the skin.
Replens Vaginal Moisturizer is likely safe for most people—it’s widely used and sold in a number of large national chains, however, some people may be concerned about allergies or have sensitive skin that is easily bothered by a number of ingredients.
Customer Opinions of Replens Vaginal Moisturizer
Replens Vaginal Moisturizer has mostly positive reviews—for the most part, this product does wat it claims to do — provide moisture and lubrication to dry vaginal cells. Some people, did report that this product didn’t work all that well for them. Here’s a look at some of the feedback we came across:
“It does what it’s supposed to. Glad I was able to find this product had a version with a reusable applicator, which makes it more economical than the prepacked applicators. If only the results lasted longer.”
“It look a while to rebuild my vaginal walls, so to speak, but after 12 weeks of use, I can enjoy sex with my husband again. I feel like it’s doing more than just lubricating, which has helped tremendously.”
“This might work for some people, but I got a yeast infection, not once, but twice after using this. Yes, it provides moisture, but it the yeast infections are a big pain. Trying to find something that works better.”
“This product did not work, caused my skin to burn and had to go to the gynecologist. Used it in the past without any issues, so I’m not sure if it was defective or if something has changed.”
Replens Vaginal Moisturizer delivered the promised results as advertised for the bulk of the users we came across. Most were older women, who had already gone through menopause, or were currently dealing with symptoms, and had been experiencing dryness.
In general, most people did not have any issues, but we did come across a user who had experienced burning, as well as a few people who got yeast infections following use of this product.
While the makers of this product claim that it does not cause yeast infections, it might be wise to speak to a gynecologist before using, especially if you’re prone to frequent infections.

Conclusion – Does Replens Vaginal Moisturizer Work?
Replens Vaginal Moisturizer does seem to be an effective solution for treating vaginal dryness associated with gong through menopause, as well as any other condition that has an effect on hormone levels — hysterectomy, cancer treatment and more.
While Replens Vaginal Moisturizer had primarily positive reviews, and seems to provide moisture where moisture is needed, there were some reports of yeast infections, burning or irritation.
While this experience is most likely quite rare, the makers of this product fail to disclose the contents of this product, which means consumers don’t get the opportunity to evaluate this product before buying, nor can they find out ahead of time if this product has the potential to cause an adverse reaction.
Based on the above information, this product could be useful for women during menopause, but it doesn’t replenish lost hormones — it’s just a moisturizer. For that reason, we suggest looking for something that helps achieve hormonal balance, too.
After evaluating several types of menopause supplements, we’re positive that Femmetrinol best helps users find relief from uncomfortable hot flashes, night sweats, and more. Black cohosh and wild yam work to create a sense of hormonal balance, while damiana inspires improved sexual desire and function.
The makers of Femmetrinol have created a product users can depend on. Clinically tested and produced in an FDA-certified lab, this supplement brings great results with no nasty side effects. Click the link to learn how Femmetrinol can help you.

I tried this and my skin burned and some peeling occurred. Very bad experience. Took about two weeks for this stuff to work its way out of my system.
I found it burned too – am a little worried that it may have been in contact with latex to which I am allergic. I’m not too impressed with the lack of listed ingredients . I won’t be buying it again.
Replens is the only moisturizer that has worked for me. I am on a cancer drug that blocks my hormones and I had some serious problems with dryness. I am looking for something similar but cheaper since it runs about $16 or more a month. It adds up
Yeast infections were a recurrent fact for me (may 3-4 a year) when I was using vaginal products with glycerin. Glycerin is a known carbohydrate, (a source of sugar, which yeast loves and thrives on). I stopped using all products with glycerin and voila – not an infection in 3 years.
I have tried replens twice now and both times have bad itching also have a couple breakouts on the outside of vagina. I guess I will try something else, also the cream stays up in my vagina for over 9 days and come out on my husband after the 9 days! Seems to long to stay inside of me.
I bought the product 4 days ago.. it was working fine with the moisture. But just today while my boyfriend & I was having sex it came out in a ball of clump.. my boyfriend doesn’t know I use this stuff, & for it to come out.. when he pulled his stuff out of me was nasty.. also embarrassing that I had to make him understand what it was, & that random a** stuff wasn’t coming out of me.. I won’t be using this product again.
While the chunks are gross, they are tolerable compared to the raging burning fire I have in my vagina now. How long does this last….I can’t find anywhere how long the burning lasts. This is insane.
I have tried replens 3 times now. It caused swelling and very unusual white tissue like discharge each time. It also made everything stick together. Very unpleasant.
I tried this Replends several times. Every time a deep burning occured and continued for days.I thought perhaps my ph balance was off and so before the last time I tried Replends I used a feminine probiotic by Azo ( I HIGHLY RECOMMEND) to ensure I was starting with a balanced ph. The burning started slightly upon application but continued to get worse for 24 to 48 hours before starting to resolve.I did some research and found many others with the same and worse issues with the product. There are some ingredients that are really not good to use internally.
Formula must have changed. Latest use burned and itched with more large & small white clumpy discharge which last for days while feeling sick sad and lethargic. Gone back to prescription hormones. Replens is not worth the hassle and a waste of money.
Can some one tell me what will ease the vaganal burning and how long it will take to get out of my system? I’m extremely uncomfortable and wish I never tried this product.
I had been using replens, I never noticed a connection with Replens and what I have been going through. I have had recurrent yeast infections for over six years. I changed my diet, I am diabetic, which has made it hard to control my sugars. I have had soreness, in fact, have not been able to have sex for over a year. It’s too painful. I finally made the connection after I blistered and the itch was unbelievable. Turns out glycerin is not my friend. I will never use this product again. I am trying to heal the blistering around my vagina and with a yeast infection on top of that. I am not impressed.
I too got a horrible yeast infection from Replens… Makes you wonder did they really test it properly?
I tried this product and it worked but I got the worst UTI infection that took 2 antibiotics to get rid of the infection. I took me 3 days to sit in a bath to clean this out of me. After spending $40.00 for the doctors visit and another $35.00 for the antibiotics and the yeast infection medicine to clear everything up OMG it was horrible. I tried to contact the company through their website and the contact page would even submit. Ladies let me share this with you PLEASE , PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT. I will share this secret with all of you and my doctor gave me the formula to use which is working get some 100% organic Coconut Oil and massage your kitty and that will get her back on track.
I finally worked out why I couldn’t clear up my candida. It coincided with using Replens. Sugar, carbohydrate, warmth, perfect conditions for yeast to thrive. Have stopped using it.
i tried this product and its burns so bad and im swollen and have bad back and stomach cramps,i will have to go to the er,it is so bad.
it dont know what happened but someone is going to pay my hospital bill and its not going to be me.
Is Replens safe for oral sex?
