BioGeniste Ingredients and Side Effects

The main active ingredients in BioGeniste are:

Glycerin Tocopheryl Acetate Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4
Witch Hazel Extract Butylene Glycol Shea Butter
Phenoxyethanol Caprylyl Glycol Sodium Hyaluronate
Peppermint Oil Green Tea Extract Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate

Glycerin: A natural humectant that can either be derived from plant oils or synthetically made.  Draws water from the air into the skin, and forms a protective layer over skin to lock in the moisture.

Tocopheryl Acetate: This highly potent form of Vitamin E helps protect against free radicals.  It also helps replenish skin lipids, resulting in improved firmness.

Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4: Commonly known as Matrixyl, this anti-aging peptide compound promotes collagen production and skin healing.  Studies have shown it to provide more long-term results than many other commonly used anti-aging ingredients.

Witch Hazel Extract: A plant extract commonly used in skin care for its potential antioxidant activity as well as its astringent properties.  Both the high tannin content of witch hazel and the alcohols used distil it can be very sensitizing.  The plant extract also contains Eugenol, another highly aromatic and sensitizing ingredient.

Butylene Glycol: Chemical compound derived from petroleum, used in skin care products as a solvent, thinner, and conditioning agent. Petroleum based ingredients can clog pores, suffocate the skin, and exacerbate acne symptoms.

Shea Butter: Moisturizer extracted from the nut of the shea tree, this triglyceride resembles the chemistry and structure of skin’s natural lipids, helping shore up the natural protective barrier of the skin.  It also helps promote healing and soothes irritated skin.

Phenoxyethanol: A germicide and preservative used in cosmetics and skin care products.  This aromatic alcohol is sometimes used as a fragrance and can cause irritation.

Caprylyl Glycol: A humectant and skin conditioner that can be found naturally or synthesized, this ingredient is used in skin care products for its moisturizing properties.

Sodium Hyaluronate: The salt form of Hyaluronic Acid, which is a natural glycosaminoglycan with exceptional skin moisturizing and healing abilities.  It fills the spaces between collagen and elastin, replacing lost moisture and hydrating the skin

Peppermint Oil: A very aromatic herbal extract used in skin care for its fragrance as well as its natural antiseptic properties.  It can be soothing and calming, but it can also irritate sensitive skin.

Green Tea: This ingredient is one of the most powerful natural antioxidants available.  The polyphenols contained in green tea neutralize free radicals, reduce inflammation, and remove impurities, helping to slow the aging process.

Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate: A stable and fat-soluble form of vitamin C used in skin care products for its antioxidative properties.  It can also aid in the absorption of other nutrients into the skin and enhance the effectiveness of other ingredients.

BioGeniste Quality of Ingredients

BioGeniste lists all its ingredients on the website, which is helpful for those with sensitive skin or allergies.  Several key ingredients have been proven for their ability to reverse the signs of aging, and others hydrate and protect the skin from environmental damage.

Many of the ingredients, however, are known irritants, so users with sensitive skin should use with caution.  There is also no science-backed evidence to prove their specific formulation does what it says it will.

BioGeniste claims it is ideal for all skin types, but not all skin types react the same way to certain ingredients.  Before beginning this or any skin care product, one should always check with a specialist to discuss the possible risks.

The Price and Quality of BioGeniste

BioGeniste is quite expensive compared to many other anti-aging creams on the market.  The cost for one 1-ounce bottle is $104.95 plus shipping, but there is a free trial available if you don’t want to commit before buying.  You must provide a credit card for the shipping charges of $4.95.

Once the trial is over after a period of 14 days, the full product cost will be charged to the credit card on file.  Customers are urged to pay attention to the small print to avoid unwanted charges, however, as signing up for the free trial automatically enrolls users into an autoship replenishment service until it is canceled.  The responsibility to cancel is on the customer.

Autoship subscriptions and deceptive trials aside, there is simply not enough evidence to prove or even suggest the formula works. There is a link to a clinical study, but it is not a study conducted on BioGeniste.  It is a study done on Matrixyl, one of the active ingredients.

There is no detailed explanation about how their specific formula reverses the aging process, and there is no way to be sure consumers are getting full value for such an expensive product.

Business of BioGeniste

The business of BioGeniste is NetMarkets, LLC, headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. Their contact info is:

There are countless complaints against NetMarkets, LLC on several different consumer protection websites regarding what many perceive to be deceptive marketing practices.

Most of the complaints stem from unauthorized charges and the autoship replenishment service offered by the website.  You must agree to this service to purchase the product through the terms of the free trial, and many do not realize that they are agreeing to it simply by placing the order.

There is a link to order the product without signing up for the trial, but it is tiny and very easily missed.  The link takes you to an almost identical webpage that has a different order form and charges the full price of $105.95 plus $5.95 shipping.

Another concerning point about the company and brand website is that it does not offer very much information about the science behind their products.  The ingredients are listed, which is helpful, but not much is offered about how they work to help your skin look and feel younger.

A link to a clinical study is provided, but it is very misleading and suggests the study was done to prove the effectiveness of their product, but it was actually a study done on the effectiveness of Matrixyl, a key ingredient in the cream.  It is overall good news for the formula, but it does not change the fact that its inclusion on the website was designed to appear as results for their specific product.

Customer Opinions of BioGeniste

Until you try a product for yourself, you won’t know how it works for your individual skin type.  Fortunately, there are online reviews available for consumers to make informed decisions.  The online customer reviews of BioGeniste are generally negative.

“I selected the option to buy once, but they still sent a refill, and of course charged me for it.  It’s not bad, but it’s not worth $100, or even $20.”

“The rep said my skin would initially peel, but it would go away after my skin adjusted.  I tried for a week, but I had to stop using it.  The peeling and bright redness were too much.”

“I experienced red itchy rashes that lasted for days.  I read that it was suitable for all skin types, but it didn’t agree with mine at all.”

The results of any skin care product depend on individual skin type, allergies, proper application, and many other contributing factors. Please be aware of this when researching skin care products based on customer reviews and opinions.

Conclusion – Does BioGeniste Work?

BioGeniste promises many anti-aging benefits, including a visible reduction in fine lines and wrinkles and a radiant glow.  Many of the ingredients in the formula are proven to promote collagen production and protect against free-radicals, resulting in improved skin firmness and lift.

There is simply not enough evidence, however, to prove the formula performs as advertised, and the lack of details about the science behind the product is disappointing.  For such an expensive cream, clinical trials (of their specific formulation) and customer testimonials (about the product, not their distribution system) would do more to prove its value and effectiveness than vague claims and deceptive marketing tactics.

Our expert reviewers have analyzed and compared many anti-aging products and found Kremotex to be the best overall.

Its fast-acting ingredients boost collagen production, and essential vitamins and antioxidants promote cell regeneration, reversing the effects of aging and skin damage. Remarkable before and after transformation photos along with glowing testimonials show why Kremotex was voted the best anti-wrinkle cream of 2024.
