Emerita Pro-Gest Ingredients and Side Effects

Emerita Pro-Gest is made using a plant-based formula, and does not contain any petroleum, parabens, mineral oil or animal products. Below we’ll take a look at what you can expect to find inside:

Sweet Almond Oil Safflower Seed Oil
USP Progesterone

Sweet Almond Oil: Rich in fatty acids and nutrients like zinc, proteins, vitamin E and more, sweet almond has a soothing effect on the skin and can alleviate dryness or irritation with use.

Safflower Oil: Safflower oil has many benefits. It may help lower blood pressure and cholesterol, improve strength and appearance of hair, soothe skin and reduce the symptoms of PMS. It may also have a positive effect on the immune system.

USP Progesterone: USP progesterone is a bioidentical progesterone just like what you’d find naturally in the human body. Made from plants, this ingredient is used to help increase progesterone in the body, due to the drop off in production that comes with menopause.

Progesterone is used to treat a range of hormonal issues like painful menstruation, PMS, acne, and menopause symptoms such as night sweats, mood swings, hot flashes and fatigue.

Emerita Pro-Gest Quality of Ingredients

Emerita Pro-Gest is made from progesterone sourced from Mexican Wild Yam. There are no synthetic hormones in the product, nor are there any animal products or chemicals like parabens, SLS or petroleum that you’ll find in some topical solutions.

We like that this product relies on things like aloe vera, safflower oil and almond oil to provide moisture, along with some skin-soothing benefits. We also like that the progesterone comes from a natural source like wild yam, an ingredient that consistently provides results to women with low levels of the female sex hormone.

We certainly don’t have any issues with the quality of the product. Emerita is a good brand with plenty of loyal customers, but we’re not sure that this is the most effective menopause product on the market for most women in the midst of this transition.

During menopause, women can lose both estrogen and progesterone—and this product only includes the latter hormone. Some menopausal women need an increase in estrogen, and if that’s the case, this product might not provide enough support.

Emerita Pro-Gest appears to be a good solution for women suffering from low progesterone or really high levels of estrogen. Potential users should first get their hormone levels tested before trying a solution like this one.

Business of Emerita Pro-Gest

Emerita Pro-Gest was created by the women’s wellness company, Emerita. Here’s a bit of background information, as well as how you can get in contact with customer service.

Phone: 800-888-6041

Emerita has been around since 1978 and makes a variety of products that support women’s health, as well as Emerita Pro-Gest.

The Emerita site is pretty minimal. It looks like it hasn’t been updated in a while, but it’s clear that they care about women’s health and have taken the steps to present themselves as a transparent company.

The site makes multiple mentions of how this product is made without animal products and does not contain any harmful additives like SLS or parabens. The progesterone used in the cream is derived from wild yam, and has been tested for quality by the US Pharmacopeia (USP) for safety and potency.

Based on the information Emerita has provided, we get the sense that this is a high quality product made with consumer safety in mind.

They’ve also provided a content section with an extensive database of articles targeting women of all ages — topics include periods, feminine itch, bladder leakage and getting older.

Customer Opinions of Emerita Pro-Gest

Emerita Pro-Gest is pretty widely reviewed. This company has been around for a while and sells through a number of channels with a lot of web traffic. Here’s a look at some of the comments people shared about their experience:

“This cream was a big lifesaver for me. My hot flashes were seriously hinging on my quality of life and this stuff started working within 4-5 days. My flashes have been greatly reduced and I’m feeling much better.”

“Love this product. I’m only 40, so not quite in menopause yet, but I have estrogen dominance. Pro-Gest has helped get heavy periods, unpredictable emotions and low iron under control.”

“I use this product because I produce way too much estrogen and needed something to deal with the range of issues. My weight is back on track and I’m starting to look and feel normal again. Highly recommend if you’re really out of balance.”

“Pretty good for helping with hormonal issues — numb limbs, breast tenderness, faintness, cramping and so on. Recommend this to others dealing with too much estrogen, it’s been a major relief.”

Emerita Pro-Gest had primarily positive reviews. The women who shared their thoughts commented on how effective this product was for dealing with too much estrogen — which can have some pretty uncomfortable effects.

Not all of the reviewers had gone through menopause, but most who had left feedback were dealing with some kind of hormone issue — painful periods, mood swings, hot flashes, fatigue.

Our impression of this product is, it seems to be quite effective in helping even out hormonal imbalances. It’s likely not the solution for all menopausal women, as some are low on estrogen, as well, and this product only brings progesterone into the system.

That being said, we’d recommend talking to a doctor to determine where your hormone levels are. Should there be a shortage of progesterone, this may well be a good option.

Conclusion – Does Emerita Pro-Gest Work?

Emerita Pro-Gest is clearly a beloved product and based on the reviews we’ve read, an effective solution for dealing with the hormonal imbalances that really affect the one’s quality life.

After reviewing the customer feedback, the company background and the ingredients used to make this product, we’ve found that this product is beneficial to a lot of people, and seems to carry a low risk of adverse effects.

However, we do need to point out that Emerita Pro-Gest

works best for those individuals who have low progesterone or an excess of estrogen. If both female hormones are low, this product won’t address the full issue, and users may still experience hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings, among other symptoms.

Because this product is intended for such a specific indication, we’d recommend scheduling an appointment with your doctor if you’re experiencing mood swings, problems with your menstrual cycle or are going through menopause.

Based on what we’ve learned about the various hormone creams and vaginal support products available today, we’ve found Femmetrinol is the best there is for treating menopause symptoms—from hot flashes to low libido and fatigue. Made from herbal ingredients like damiana, wild yam and black cohosh, this product takes on menopause symptoms from all angles, providing maximum balance.

Femmetrinol is made from a blend of clinically-tested herbal ingredients known for their safety and potency. To find out more about how Femmetrinol can improve your well-being during menopause, click here.

Was put on birth control pills at the age of 50, to help menopause issues…Even though I was healthy, strong and not on any other medication….I had a hemorrhagic brainstem stroke only 2 months later, as a result….. (said several surgeons). I’m happy with the Mexican yams,…. I’ve seen results quickly!! Now (a year and a half later)…..if I can just learn to walk without a walker again, I would be even happier!!
