Fembido is a daily women’s nutritional supplement intended to address problems with a low sex drive. When taken regularly (as directed) it promises to increase natural arousal, sensitivity, and energy levels.

When taken in the recommended doses, Fembido claims to be able to stimulate the genitalia through the natural effects of its herbal ingredients. As a result, women are supposed to see a change in their appetite for sex with regular use. The company claims there are no side effects, and that the product is safe and all-natural. They furthermore proclaim that the product is made in the UK in GMP-approved facilities.

There are many women’s sexual supplements out there, but most effective choice that we have seen so far is Libitrinex. Its blend of nutrients is intended to naturally boost the libido for a higher drive for intimacy, and to improve overall reproductive health for long-term wellness and a happier sex life. Fembido INGREDIENTS AND SIDE EFFECTS

Fembido has very few active ingredients, and they are all of primarily herbal extraction:

Irvingia Cissus Damiana

Irvingia: Also called Irvingia Gabonensis, this is a tree that is native to parts of Africa. While its fruit is eaten as a food, the seeds of this fruit are supposed to be useful as a medicine, one that is typically used for losing weight, controlling diabetes, and lowering levels of cholesterol. It supposedly does this due to its high fiber content. However, according to WebMD, there really isn’t enough evidence about this product to prove that it really does anything at all. There are also possible side effects from using it, which can include:

  • Headaches, problems sleeping

Cissus: This plant is a succulent vine that is found in Asia and Africa. In Thailand particularly it is used as a medicine. Even traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine uses it as a medicinal treatment for symptoms. It has been mainly used as a way to treat high cholesterol, obesity, and heart disease, but it has also been used as a way to boost endurance and help with athletic performance in bodybuilders. There is not enough clinical evidence to show that it does much, as most of the claims about it stem from tradition rather than observation science. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, but that’s about all. There are side effects even in short-term use, however, and these include:

  • Dry mouth, headaches, gas
  • Diarrhea, insomnia

Damiana: Found in parts of Mexico and around Central America, this herbal remedy has been used to increase sexual desire in men and women, which is why it is found in many libido supplements. It has also shown some use as a treatment for diarrhea headaches, and even mood disorders.

Fembido QUALITY OF INGREDIENTS

Fembido consists entirely of ingredients used in traditional medicines, and though some of the inactive ingredients (like those used to make up the tablets) may not have directly natural origins, they are still supposed to be safe, as well as vegetarian. This leads us to conclude that, overall, these tablets seem to be largely natural.

The problem with the ingredients is threefold: 1) most of them are either not proven to work, 2) most of them don’t seem to be focused on sexual performance and 3) there are not many of them.

Irvingia has no scientific proof that it really works, and even if it did, it is not supposed to be able to improve sexual desire at all. Why it was included, then, in a product specifically marketed as a libido supplement for women, is a mystery. The same goes for Cissus, which not only has some pretty uncomfortable side effects, but also doesn’t seem to have any sexual use other than as a way to increase endurance. There are other herbs out there that could work for this same purpose, like Siberian ginseng and not only do they not come with the same kinds of side effects, they have actually seen some widespread acceptance of their working.

Damiana seems to be the sole ingredient aimed at boosting the sex drive, but since the other products in this supplement don’t have a similar purpose, the overall product may be weaker than some other pills that include more aphrodisiacs for greater potency.

EDITOR’S TIP: Combine this supplement with a proven female libido enhancer such as Libitrinex for better results.

THE PRICE AND QUALITY OF Fembido

Fembido appears to only be sold on a British website called Chemist Direct, a website that sells nutritional supplements. There, it is currently being sold for £18.99 per bottle.

Each bottle contains 60 capsules, and at a dosage of 1-3 capsules a day, one bottle could last for two months or only one. There don’t appear to be any deals for buying in bulk, as is usual with nutritional supplements, and we don’t see why this company or service have not offered this option.

While the price is technically low, it will be a problem for American customers as the website doesn’t seem to allow the option of shipping to the United States. Buying the product there is an option, and the price is somewhat in the middling range for such a supplement, but due to the questionable quality of some of the ingredients, it doesn’t seem like a very good value.

BUSINESS OF Fembido

It’s not immediately clear who exactly makes Fembido. There is no product website to be found, nor is there a large presence on the internet for it. It may very well be the creation of Chemist Direct, but it is not clearly stated on the product’s page. As it is “exclusively available” at this site, we’ll assume that they are the ones to ask about the product, and here is their contact info:

Phone Number: 0121 541 1800

Address: Unit 1A, Junction 2 Industrial Estate, Dermuth Way, Oldbury, West Midlands, B69 4LT, United Kingdom

Email: The website offers a customer support questionnaire that they can fill out with questions or comments.

Chemist Direct accepts returns within 14 work days of receipt of the product, and does not refund shipping and handling.

The company appears to have a nice and easy-to-navigate website, and a wide-selection of products. However, according to a site called SiteJabber, there are a large number of customer complaints about their business, with some saying that their orders were canceled without any notice, that they didn’t receive items they paid for, and that the customer service was poor overall.

CUSTOMER OPINIONS OF Fembido

Fembido is lacking in the area of customer testimonials. The product’s main page on the site contains only a handful of reviews, and not all of them were positive:

“This product worked amazingly!”

“I didn’t really see much of an improvement, but they seem to have worked a little bit.”

“I started having painful side effects in the form of painful ‘spots’ on my face and body, so I had to stop taking them.”

“These pills are simple and work as they are advertised to.”

Without a larger number of reviews, there’s no way to tell whether this product will work for a majority of people or not. Nutritional supplements need to prove themselves to new consumers, and one way is by having lots of positive testimonials for others to read and ponder over, and unfortunately, Fembido doesn’t have that.

CONCLUSION – DOES Fembido WORK?

This supplement does not appear to have much going for it. Not only does it only contain one real aphrodisiac, but the other ingredients in it don’t have much backing for their claimed effects on the body, amounting to little more than unverified claims by herbalists and homeopaths. The company that sells the product also has a bad history of customer relations, as noted above, which should make anyone think twice about ordering from them. All in all, Fembido does not seem like a better option compared to all the other ones out there, so we don’t see much reason to recommend it.
